DKI Transportation Agency Reviews Readiness of Rambutan Terminal for Lebaran Return Flow
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency directly inspected the readiness for the 2026 Lebaran return flow at Kampung Rambutan Terminal in East Jakarta (Jaktim). “Yes, today we from the Transportation Agency, together with TNI, Polri, and Mr Muhammad Thamrin from the DKI Jakarta DPRD, conducted an inspection at Kampung Rambutan Terminal to monitor the implementation of the return flow,” said the Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, at the terminal in East Jakarta on Tuesday. Syafrin stated that this inspection aims to ensure that all aspects of services at the terminal operate optimally, both for passengers returning to Jakarta and those heading back to their hometowns. From the on-site monitoring, there are two main focuses of attention. The first is the readiness of facilities, infrastructure, and supporting amenities for the public undertaking the return flow journey, whether heading to Jakarta or returning to their home villages. According to Syafrin, overall, the condition of facilities at Kampung Rambutan Terminal is ready and operating well. This includes the roadworthiness of bus fleets, passenger waiting areas, and the traffic management system within the terminal. The second focus is the terminal’s readiness to accommodate the surge of passengers from outside Jakarta entering the capital. Considering that the return flow is a period of high mobility, said Syafrin, terminal managers are urged to ensure smooth arrival flows to avoid passenger build-ups. Syafrin emphasised that cross-agency coordination is key to maintaining the smoothness of the return flow. The presence of TNI and Polri at the site also assists in security and regulating vehicle and passenger flows. He also urged the public to always prioritise safety during their journeys, whether using land transportation to Jakarta or leaving the capital. “Our hope is that the public undertaking the return flow, whether from Jakarta to outside the city or from outside Jakarta to Jakarta, continues to prioritise safety and remains cautious on the roads,” said Syafrin. With this readiness, he hopes that the 2026 Lebaran return flow through Kampung Rambutan Terminal can proceed smoothly, safely, and comfortably for all members of the public. The manager of Kampung Rambutan Terminal in East Jakarta recorded the number of passengers arriving today during the 2026 Lebaran return flow at 2,501 people. “From the operational report of inter-city inter-provincial transport (AKAP), 107 buses arrived at the terminal with a total of 2,501 passengers,” said the Head of Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Revi Zulkarnain, at the terminal in East Jakarta on Tuesday. Revi noted that activities for the 2026 Lebaran return flow began to be visible today. Based on terminal production data for the period from 00:00 to 12:00 WIB, the number of incoming passengers was recorded as much higher than those departing. “Meanwhile, the number of departures only reached 47 buses with a total of 344 passengers,” said Revi.
