DKI Jakarta government seeks CSR support for Gandaria Utara security system
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is ready to seek corporate social responsibility (CSR) support for developing a community security system in RT 11 RW 07 Gandaria Utara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
“Security systems must also be considered during power cuts. If they’re not in place yet, we’ll seek CSR support,” said Deputy Governor Rano Karno at RT 11 RW 07 Gandaria Utara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Wednesday.
According to Rano, community security innovations such as access cards and CCTV require adequate technological support to remain operational during power cuts.
Rano believes the security system at RT 11 RW 07 Gandaria Utara can serve as a model for other areas in Jakarta.
He stated that successful community security innovations cannot be achieved without community involvement.
“On behalf of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, I congratulate the residents of RT 11 RW 07. Hopefully this can be replicated,” he said.
Rano also noted that the system initially faced some resistance from residents but was eventually accepted once its benefits became apparent.
The provincial government will encourage similar systems in other areas through community training.
“That means we’re ready to provide training. Yes! We’ll invite several villages to implement this system,” he said.
Residents of RT 11/RW 07 Gandaria Utara, South Jakarta, have installed a digital gate and GPS devices to prevent motorcycle theft as part of a community security initiative.
“It began with community concern over frequent motorcycle thefts. From there, we gathered resident suggestions monthly until the idea for a tech-based gate emerged,” said RT 11/RW 07 Head Imam Basori (43).
The installed gate differs from conventional portals. It uses registered access cards for each household.
The gate is activated only at night, from midnight to 5:30am WIB.
