Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta Provincial Government is currently conducting data collection on elderly individuals and people with disabilities (Dilan) to identify those needing appropriate support and health services.

“We are collaborating with the Health Service to identify which elderly and disabled individuals can be intervened by the Health Service with the white force,” said the Head of the Administrative Sub-section of the Family Data and Information Centre of the Child Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control Service (PPAPP DKI) of Jakarta, Kristiana Wahyu Sakitri.

In a podcast themed “Carik Jakarta: From Dasawisma Cadres for Jakarta’s Development” in Jakarta on Wednesday, Kristiana explained that the data collection is carried out by Dasawisma cadres using the Carik Jakarta application.

The targets of the data collection are elderly individuals aged 60 years and above and residents with disabilities aged two years and above. The purpose of the data collection is to identify the social and health conditions of the elderly and disabled, their level of independence, and priority targets for home service provision.

The Jakarta Provincial Government hopes that all elderly individuals and people with disabilities will receive the best services, both from health aspects and empowerment for them and their families, so that they remain empowered and prosperous.

The number of Dilan data collection targets as of March 2026 is 858,711 elderly individuals and people with disabilities in the five administrative city areas of Jakarta and the Thousand Islands.

The target determination phase is scheduled for 30-31 March 2026, followed by the data collection phase from 1-12 April 2026.

Meanwhile, Carik Jakarta is a family data collection application developed by the DKI Jakarta PPAPP Service since 2019, as an effort by the Jakarta Provincial Government to capture the condition of families in DKI Jakarta.

“The variables included cover household characteristics, demographics, up to family development or family resilience,” said Kristiana.
