DKI Continues Civil Registry Services on Public Holidays 14-15 May 2026
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Civil Registry and Population Records Office (Dukcapil) of DKI Jakarta will open population administration services on the national holidays and collective leave days of 14-15 May 2026 from 09:00 to 13:00 to facilitate residents who have limited time to handle population documents.
Head of Dukcapil DKI Jakarta, Denny Wahyu Haryanto, stated in Jakarta on Wednesday that services will be available at the Dukcapil DKI Jakarta counters and the Sub-District Civil Registry Offices (Sudin) in the five administrative cities and the Thousand Islands Administrative Regency.
“We hope Jakarta residents can take advantage of these two days of holiday services, especially for 16- and 17-year-old students who have not yet recorded their beginner KTP-el. Also for residents who already have a KTP-el but have not activated their Digital Population Identity,” said Denny.
He explained that this policy is also a follow-up to Circular Letter No. 400.8/4780/DUKCAPIL dated 12 May 2026 from the Directorate General of Dukcapil of the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding Dukcapil Services on National Holidays and Collective Leave on 14 and 15 May 2026 to deliver PRIMA services (Professional, Responsive, Innovative, Serving with heart, and Accountable) implemented simultaneously across Indonesia.
Residents aged 16 and above can already record electronic ID cards, starting from facial recording (photo), biometric recording, eye retina, and signature at the Sub-District Civil Registry Office counters in their domicile city/administrative district, bringing their family card.
These holiday services can also be used for activating Digital Population Identity (IKD) because activation requires physical presence at the counter for biometric verification and scanning the personal data barcode through the resident’s device.
“Providing service time on holidays will accelerate the coverage of IKD users in Jakarta as a smart city,” said Denny.
Based on the Clean Population Data for the second semester of 2025, the population of DKI Jakarta aged 16 and 17 in 2026 who can record KTP-el or are required to record KTP-el totals 199,653 people.
As of today, the population that has recorded beginner KTP-el numbers 38,079 people or 19.07 percent.
