Indonesia’s Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) under the Ministry of Finance has recorded 6,691,081 annual tax return notices (SPT Tahunan) for personal income tax filed through the DJP Coretax system. Of this total, 6,685,865 returns were filed through Coretax DJP, whilst a further 5,216 returns were submitted via Coretax Form.

“Annual income tax return filing progress stands at 6,691,081 returns,” said Inge Diana Rismawanti, Director of Tax Education, Services, and Public Relations at DJP, in a written statement in Jakarta on Monday, 9 March 2026.

Based on taxpayer submissions for the January-December 2025 financial year, the DJP provides a breakdown showing 5,947,665 individual employed taxpayers, 595,835 individual self-employed taxpayers, 141,055 corporate taxpayers in Indonesian rupiah, and 116 corporate taxpayers in US dollars.

For fiscal years beginning on 1 August 2025, the figures show 1,173 corporate taxpayers in Indonesian rupiah and 21 corporate taxpayers in US dollars.

The DJP further reports that the number of taxpayers who have activated Coretax accounts has reached 15,616,605. This comprises 14,594,724 individual taxpayers, 931,532 corporate taxpayers, 90,124 government institution taxpayers, and 225 electronic commerce traders (PMSE).

To file annual tax returns, taxpayers may activate their Coretax accounts independently by following tutorials and instructions available through the DJP’s official social media accounts.

The DJP also provides Coretax Form for individual taxpayers with nil tax return status.

Taxpayers requiring further assistance may contact the Tax Hotline at 1500200 or seek support from officials at the nearest tax office.

The DJP urges taxpayers who have not yet filed their annual returns to activate their Coretax accounts and submit returns promptly. Taxpayers who file late will face administrative sanctions in the form of penalties: 100,000 rupiah for individuals and 1 million rupiah for corporations.
