As of the end of February 2026, 4,646,178 taxpayers have filed their annual tax returns. The majority of filings have been conducted by taxpayers through the DJP’s Coretax system, whilst 171 tax returns were filed through the Coretax Form system.

According to records from the Directorate General of Taxes under the Ministry of Finance, the breakdown is as follows: 4,126,978 individual employee taxpayers filed returns, 408,524 non-employee individual taxpayers filed for the fiscal year January to December 2025. Additionally, 105,575 corporate taxpayers filed annual returns in rupiah, and 103 corporate taxpayers filed in United States dollars. For taxpayers with different fiscal years, 809 corporate taxpayers filed in rupiah and 18 corporate taxpayers filed in US dollars.

To encourage annual tax return filings, Director General of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto explained that DJP is in the process of adding features to the Coretax system, namely Coretax Form and mobile tax (M-Pajak) applications. These features are designed to simplify filing, particularly for taxpayers with zero-status returns and individual employees from a single employer.

“This will provide convenience for taxpayers filing zero-status returns and individual employee taxpayers from a single employer,” he said.

Inge Diana Rismawanti, Director of Tax Education, Service, and Public Relations at DJP, explained that Coretax Form is an electronic form provided within the DJP’s Coretax system and is used by taxpayers to complete and submit annual tax returns electronically.

“The use of Coretax Form makes it easier for taxpayers to meet their filing obligations and ensures that annual tax return data is recorded in the Coretax DJP system,” Inge stated in an official statement released on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.

Coretax Form can be used by taxpayers who meet the criteria: individual taxpayers with income from employment, business, and/or independent work, submitting annual tax returns with zero-status filing, and not using the Net Income Calculation Norm method.

Coretax Form can be accessed by taxpayers as follows:

  1. Log in to a Coretax DJP account via the website coretaxdjp.pajak.go.id;

  2. Select the Tax Return (SPT) menu; and

  3. Select Coretax Form.

“To open and complete Coretax Form, taxpayers need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader application with a minimum version of Reader DC version 20 or newer,” it stated.
