Display of Stacked Cash Resembling a Wall at the Attorney General's Office, Backdrop for Handover of Rp 11.4 Trillion to the State
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Republic of Indonesia’s Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) displayed stacks of cash at the Kejagung Complex on Friday (10/4/2026). The money is scheduled to be handed over to the state and will be witnessed by President Prabowo Subianto during the Handover of Administrative Fines and State Financial Recovery as well as the Reclamation of Forest Areas Phase VI by the Forest Area Control Task Force (Satgas PKH). Kompas.com observations revealed that the stacks of Rp 100,000 denomination notes were arranged on a very large scale, forming a kind of wall or elongated stage backdrop nearly spanning the entire rear area. The bills appeared neatly arranged in rectangular blocks stacked in layers, creating a structure resembling a red brick wall. The height of the stack was taller than an adult or about three metres. At the top centre of the stack, there was a board or label displaying a very large nominal figure, namely more than Rp 11.4 trillion. On several previous occasions, the total money displayed was not the entirety due to space considerations. However, on this occasion, it is not yet known whether the amount of money on display equals more than Rp 11.4 trillion or not.
