Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance is carrying out a large-scale reshuffle of its staff assigned as Objection Reviewers (Penelaah Keberatan) and Account Representatives. The mutasi news is contained in Announcement Number PENG-91/PJ/PJ.01/2026 dated 5 March 2026 and signed by Nurbaeti Munawaroh, Secretary of the Directorate General of Taxes, on behalf of the DJP.

Head of Public Education, Services, and Community Relations (P2Humas) of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), Inge Diana Rismawanti, explained that the mutasi and rotasi (mutations and rotations) process is a routine step that typically occurs for civil servants. “Mutations and rotations are common in the civil service environment, including the DJP, and it was indeed time to do it,” Inge told CNBC Indonesia on Friday (6 March 2026).

The announcement states that the mutation of 2,043 tax officers refers to two underlying provisions, namely KEP-122/PJ/PJ.01/2026 dated 5 March 2026 regarding the Transfer of Objection Reviewers within the Directorate General of Taxes; and KEP-123/PJ/PJ.01/2026 dated 5 March 2026 regarding the Transfer of Account Representatives within the Directorate General of Taxes.

“It has been decided by the Director General of Taxes to appoint and transfer 215 staff as Objection Reviewers; and appoint and transfer 1,828 staff as Account Representatives; into new positions and locations as set out in the attached list,” as stated in the announcement.

The announcement also notes that the mutation decisions take effect on 30 March 2026. The names of the 2,043 employees affected by the mutation, along with their new workplaces, are listed in the attachment to the announcement.

Employees named in the mutation list are required to undergo performance evaluations in accordance with applicable regulations. They should also carry out their duties according to the status of their position in the old roles up to the effective date of the Director General of Taxes’ decision above, and any requests relating to changes in employment status for those named in the attachment cannot be processed until that date.

They are also required to comply with the provisions in the Director General of Taxes Circular No SE-33/PJ/2021 dated 11 May 2021 on Technical Instructions for Travel Expenses for Duty Transfers charged to the DJP Central Office Budget (DIPA).

“Employees promoted to new posts as Objection Reviewers and Account Representatives should submit the State Asset Declarations (LHKPN) to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in accordance with the provisions of Financial Minister Regulation No 353/KM.1/2024,” as stated in the announcement.
