Directorate General of Oil and Gas and Pertamina Review LPG Distribution in Bekasi and North Jakarta
The Directorate General of Oil and Gas Bumi (Migas) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), together with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java (JBB), reviewed the distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to ensure availability and optimal distribution. The inspection was carried out on 3–4 April 2026 at several distribution points in Bekasi, West Java, and Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. The activity was led by the Director General of Migas, Laode Sulaeman, along with ESDM Ministry officials and Pertamina Patra Niaga management. On the first day, the team inspected the Bulk LPG Filling Station (SPBE) of PT Sapta Arta Setia in Bekasi. The checks focused on the readiness of facilities and infrastructure to ensure optimal operations in supporting LPG distribution to the public. Additionally, inspections were conducted at several LPG bases in Bekasi. During the visit, the government ensured that the 3-kilogram LPG distributed complied with regulations, both in terms of weight and quantity. On the second day, the inspection continued to the SPBE of Pertamina Trading and Services in Tanjung Priok. At this location, the government verified that operational standards and occupational safety had been met, and distribution was running smoothly. The team also monitored LPG bases in the area to ensure quality, quantity, and supply availability remained maintained at the community level. Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBB, Freddy Anwar, stated that his company continues to monitor LPG distribution across all routes, from terminals to bases. “We continue to conduct routine monitoring across all distribution routes, from terminals, SPBE, to LPG gas bases. Through these efforts, the public can easily obtain LPG while using it wisely,” he said. Meanwhile, Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBB, Susanto August Satria, assessed that this activity demonstrates synergy between the government and Pertamina in maintaining energy supply. “This visit is an important momentum to ensure LPG supply remains stable. It also shows direct supervision together with the government in maintaining smooth distribution,” he said. He emphasised that Pertamina is committed to maintaining energy availability through an integrated distribution system and ongoing supervision. On the other hand, IT Manager Jakarta I Nyoman Adi Pradana highlighted the important role of distribution facilities in Jakarta in maintaining energy resilience. “As one of the energy distribution centres, IT Jakarta plays a crucial role in ensuring operational readiness and smooth LPG distribution to various regions,” he said. Pertamina assures the availability of LPG, particularly the 3-kilogram subsidised variant, is safe and sufficient in the West Java region. Coordination with the government and business partners is also continuously strengthened to maintain smooth distribution. The public is urged to use LPG wisely and on target so that energy distribution can run evenly and sustainably.
