Digital Minister: BPJS PANDAWA is a Key Part of Health Transformation
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Minister of Communication and Digital (Menkomdigi), Meutya Hafid, considers the Pelayanan Administrasi Melalui WhatsApp (Pandawa) service from BPJS Kesehatan to be an important part of the digital transformation in Indonesia’s health sector.
“Insya Allah, this service will bring many benefits and become an important part of the transformation of health services in the country,” Meutya stated during her speech at the Launch of the 24-Hour Pelayanan Administrasi Melalui WhatsApp (Pandawa) Service and the Kick Off of the Directorate’s Quick Wins at the BPJS Kesehatan Head Office in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Previously, the service was only available until 5:00 p.m. local time. However, Pandawa can now be accessed by participants via the number 0811-8-165-165 every day, 24 hours.
The types of services on Pandawa include, among others, participant registration, adding family members as JKN participants, and reactivating membership.
Furthermore, Meutya highlighted the significant changes in public service patterns along with the development of digital technology, including in the health sector.
She stated that increased connectivity is the main factor driving this transformation.
Currently, she said, most Indonesians are connected to the internet and are increasingly accustomed to using digital services. In line with that, according to her, the government must adjust services to the habits of the public who now live in the digital space.
Meutya emphasised that the government will continue to strengthen digital infrastructure, including expanding internet access and improving network quality. This is intended, among others, to support faster and more integrated health services.
She hopes that digital service innovations, such as Pandawa, can improve the quality of services while strengthening public trust in national health services.
“This service (Pandawa), we believe, is something that the public has been waiting for. We appreciate it once again,” she said.
