Digital Learning Programme Reaches 288,865 Schools, Strengthened in 3T Regions
The government continues to demonstrate significant progress in enhancing the digital learning programme, extending its reach to the most remote, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions.
The Head of the Indonesian Communications Agency (Bakom RI), Muhammad Qodari, stated that the digital learning programme has shown continuous development during the first two years of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration. Beyond expanding device distribution, the government is also encouraging the integration of technology into the teaching and learning process.
“This programme has reached hundreds of thousands of educational units throughout Indonesia,” said Qodability during a press conference for the Quick Win Programme (PHTC) at the Bakom Office, Jakarta, on Friday, 3 July 2026.
According to data from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), as of 2025, 288,865 educational units have received Digital Interactive Boards (PID) along with supporting devices such as laptops and external hard drives.
Furthermore, 8,265 educational units have received internet support, and 2,389 units have received electricity support. The government has also trained 33,156 teachers and educational staff, as well as developed 2,856 digital learning contents to ensure the optimal use of the equipment.
In 2026, the government continues to prepare the procurement process for Digital Interactive Boards while providing assistance to schools and developing digital learning content. This step is being taken to optimise the use of the devices already received and to prepare the ecosystem for PID utilisation this year.
“As many as 99.5 per cent of students stated that learning using PID is far more engaging. In terms of material comprehension, 98 per cent of students reported understanding the subject matter taught,” Qodari said, presenting the evaluation results from Kemendikdasmen regarding the programme’s implementation.
From the teachers’ perspective, he added, the majority have begun transitioning to more interactive and varied teaching methods. Teachers also reported that students have become more active and enthusiastic in the classroom.
Strengthening 3T Regions
Qodari also ensured that the government continues to provide special attention to communities in 3T regions so that the benefits of digital learning are not only enjoyed in urban areas.
Based on Kemendikdasmen data as of 29 June 2026, the Digital Learning Programme in 3T regions in 2025 has reached 13,838 schools, covering all educational levels, ranging from early childhood education (PAUD), primary, junior high, senior high, and vocational schools (SMK), to special needs schools (SLB), learning activity studios (SKB), and community learning centres (PKBM).
