Cyber threats in Indonesia continue to rise with the acceleration of digital transformation. The need for more integrated security systems is in the spotlight amid limitations in talent and the complexity of technology.

Digiserve by Telkom Indonesia is collaborating with DBM Works Solusi Indonesia by utilising cybersecurity technology from South Korea. This partnership emphasises enhancing capabilities in managing network and digital system security.

Acting President Director of Digiserve, Buddy Restiady, stated that cybersecurity now directly impacts business operational continuity. “Cybersecurity is no longer just a technological function, but has become the primary foundation in safeguarding business continuity and digital system stability,” said Buddy in a press release on Wednesday (29/4/2026).

Buddy explained that the selection of South Korean technology is based on its high global maturity level in cybersecurity. Additionally, the technology is deemed easier to integrate with existing systems.

“Our strategy is built on three main pillars: advanced technology, adaptability, and scalability, so that the solutions provided are relevant and sustainable for the Indonesian market,” said Buddy.

VP of IT, Product & Partnership at Digiserve, Edi Nopian Mulia, stated that Southeast Asia accounts for a large portion of global ransomware attacks. “The increasingly massive digital transformation, including cloud adoption and flexible work patterns, has significantly expanded the attack surface,” said Edi.

Edi mentioned that Indonesia could face a shortage of up to 600,000 to 1.5 million cybersecurity professionals. On the other hand, the use of multiple security devices within one organisation increases the risk of system fragmentation.

Digiserve offers security management services based on Security Operation Center as a Service (SOCaaS). This system allows real-time monitoring and response to threats without building its own operations centre.

“Cybersecurity is no longer just a technical choice, but a crucial component in mitigating business risks,” said Edi.
