Development in Puncak

We developers of the Puncak-Cipanas area, West Java, would
like to express our full support of President Soeharto's
instruction to the effect that the Bogor-Puncak-Cianjur
environment should be preserved. Development of this area must
comply with the area's master plan. Buildings which do not follow
the master plan design must be demolished.

However, it should be noted that there is a difference between
Puncak-Cipanas of Cianjur regency and Puncak-Cisarua of Bogor
regency. The difference is as follows:

* Cikundul, Ciwalen and Cigunang rivers run into the Cirata
dam, Cianjur, and not to Bogor/Jakarta.

* Cisadane and Ciliwung rivers run to Bogor/Jakarta.

The National Land Agency issues a location permit following
recommendation from the Bogor-Puncak-Cianjur Special Team.

In this context, developers of the Puncak-Cipanas region
appeal to the local government to give us a clear-cut guideline
for the West Java area in order to obtain a law certainty. This
will surely benefit potential buyers. People will be induced to
buy real estate in their own country, instead of eying locations
in a foreign country such as Perth or Sydney, Australia.
