Serang — Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh Enik Ermawati has called on local governments in Banten Province and Serang Regency to strengthen oversight of entrance tariffs and services at Anyer Beach tourist area to prevent illegal levies and price gouging during the 2026 Eid holiday season.

The deputy minister made the statement during a working visit to Florida Beach in Cinangka, Serang Regency, on Friday, to assess the readiness of this popular tourist destination ahead of anticipated increases in visitor numbers.

“We want to ensure there are no illegal levies, which are frequently the source of complaints. We are asking both the provincial and regency governments to ensure there are no excessive tariff increases, so that tourists truly feel comfortable,” Ermawati said.

The deputy minister stressed the importance of monitoring business operators and tourism managers to ensure compliance with applicable price regulations. This is particularly crucial given that Anyer Beach remains a primary destination for both local and out-of-region tourists, particularly from the Greater Jakarta area.

“Our visit target is 3.6 million annually for 2026. Specifically for the Eid holiday period, we hope there will be approximately 200,000 to 300,000 visitors to Serang Regency,” Anas said.

The government hopes that through thorough preparations and strict price monitoring, the local tourism sector can continue to grow and deliver positive impacts for the local economy without burdening visitors.
