Deputy Public Works Minister Inspects Mudik Readiness; JTT Deploys 35 Patching Teams Along Trans-Java Toll Road
JAKARTA – Ahead of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijrah mudik cycle, which is predicted to experience a significant surge in mobility, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is accelerating road preservation processes along the Trans-Java toll corridor’s main routes.
This measure is being taken to ensure that this vital national transportation artery remains free from potholes and pavement damage that could risk impeding vehicle flow.
Infrastructure readiness became a major focus during Deputy Public Works Minister Diana Kusumastuti’s working visit to Rest Area KM 57A and Cikampek North Toll Gate on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.
As a precautionary measure, JTT is deploying dozens of specialist teams for routine maintenance. “JTT is mobilising 35 patching teams spread across all sections of the Trans-Java toll road managed by the company. These teams are tasked with providing rapid response to potential pavement damage,” stated Bima.
Beyond road conditions, a critical focus area during the Deputy Public Works Minister’s review is traffic flow management at rest areas. Vehicle congestion at rest facility entrances frequently triggers bottlenecks on the main road.
Bima added that service optimisation this time includes stricter parking capacity management and enhanced public facilities.
To date, JTT continues to conduct intensive coordination with stakeholders to ensure that traffic engineering strategies and toll gate transaction services can operate in sync with the improved road conditions.
