Deputy National Police Chief Urges National Security Posts to Follow West Java Police Quick Response Model
Indonesia’s State Police continue to strengthen rapid public services through the Call Center 110 emergency hotline, increasingly accessible under the concept of “110 in your pocket” (110 dalam genggaman). This service represents a critical instrument for the National Police in providing quick responses to the public, particularly during the management of Ramadan exodus and return traffic flows as part of Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026.
The initiative was highlighted during a working visit by Deputy National Police Chief Komjen Pol. Prof. Dr. Dedi Prasetyo, S.H., M.Hum., M.Si., M.M., to the Integrated Security Post at KM 57 Karawang, West Java. During the visit, the Deputy National Police Chief emphasised the importance of an integrated quick response system linking the hotline service with field personnel.
According to the Deputy National Police Chief, the Call Center 110 service developed by West Java Police can serve as a model for security posts in other regions in providing rapid public services during the Ramadan exodus period.
“The quick response service developed by West Java Police is excellent. We expect security posts scattered across various regions to emulate this integrated service system with the 110 hotline so that every report from the public can be immediately followed up by field officers,” said the Deputy National Police Chief.
Nationwide, the National Police have prepared 2,746 security posts comprising 1,624 security posts, 779 service posts, and 343 integrated posts. These posts are stationed along major migration routes and at points of public activity to provide both security and services for travellers.
The existence of these posts is also expected to integrate with the Call Center 110 service, enabling the public to easily report emergencies, request police assistance, and obtain information regarding traffic and security conditions during their journey.
West Java Police continue to enhance the Call Center 110 service through a quick response system directly connected to field officers. With this system, every incoming report can be immediately relayed to personnel at the nearest security post for swift action.
To support optimisation of this service, West Java Police have conducted extensive public awareness campaigns by installing Call Center 110 banners across all security posts, service posts, integrated posts, and at various public gathering points across 23 jurisdictions within West Java Police region. This initiative aims to ensure the public becomes increasingly aware of and utilises the 110 service as a rapid communication channel with police when facing emergencies or requiring assistance during travel.
