Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - Aceh’s Deputy Governor, Fadhlullah, has urged all regents and mayors in disaster-affected areas to reactivate posts to accelerate data collection for permanent housing (Huntap) construction for flood victims.

“We have already instructed the regents and mayors to reactivate the posts so that the data collection can be done quickly,” said Fadhlullah in Banda Aceh on Wednesday.

The statement was made by the man familiarly known as Dek Fadh while receiving a courtesy visit from the Head of the ANTARA News Agency Aceh Bureau, Febrianto Budi Anggoro, and his team, in his office at the Aceh Governor’s Office in Banda Aceh.

Dek Fadh stated that activating these posts is crucial, as only 10 out of 18 affected districts/cities have completed data collection for Huntap construction to date.

He explained that this data collection is essential, particularly regarding the placement of individuals. Drawing from experience in North Aceh with 104 Huntap units built by the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polkam), all recipients had initially agreed to occupy them before construction, but upon completion, many refused the communal Huntap and requested an in-situ scheme (at the original location).

He stressed that the state is always present amid Aceh’s communities affected by the flood disaster. For instance, previously there might have been five households (KK) in one house, but post-disaster, they can now separate into individual households, all receiving Huntap.

“Especially since the state is not lacking. I conveyed in the meeting (with regional heads), what more do you want? The state is ready to build, whatever is requested is provided, but please provide the data,” he emphasised.

During the meeting with ANTARA, Dek Fadh also hoped that the mass media would observe and report on the government’s efforts in aiding Aceh’s recovery.

“The government has done much to help handle the Aceh disaster. In fact, during the disaster, President Prabowo has visited Aceh seven times, and the Interior Minister has been in Aceh almost every week,” said Dek Fadh.

The Deputy Governor explained that there are three schemes for Huntap construction that must be accelerated by district/city governments.

First, communal Huntap construction carried out by the Ministry of Housing and Human Settlements. For this scheme, he requested that data on prospective recipients be submitted immediately so that the construction process can begin promptly.

Second, Huntap construction on victims’ own land, facilitated by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). This in-situ scheme is intended for communities with their own land who choose to build there.

In addition, Dek Fadh emphasised that local governments must promptly issue Decrees (SK) for Huntap locations, resolve land issues, and ensure land legality to avoid hindering the construction process.

He also instructed the formation and operation of a Huntap verification team involving local government elements, police, TNI, and prosecutors, to ensure the validity of recipient data based on by name by address (BNBA).

“All stages must be accelerated during the emergency response transition period. There must be no administrative delays; all preparations must be completed before entering the rehabilitation and reconstruction phase,” thus said Dek Fadh.
