Departure of 84 Hajj Flight Groups Centralised at Terminal 2F of Soekarno-Hatta Airport
PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Branch in Tangerang, Banten, has stated that the departure process for 84 flight groups (kloter) of prospective hajj pilgrims for 2026 will be centralised or integrated at Terminal 2F. According to the plan, the departure schedule for these 84 kloter, involving 35,285 prospective pilgrims, will take place from 22 April to 21 May 2026. “We have prepared a kloter-based service flow at Terminal 2F and strengthened coordination with all stakeholders. This is done to support an orderly, smooth, and on-time departure process,” said the General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Heru Karyadi, in Tangerang on Monday. He explained that the total of 84 flight groups for departures and returns originate from three embarkation points: Banten, Jakarta-Bekasi, and Jakarta-Pondok Gede. Nevertheless, he added, all operational readiness at Terminal 2F of Soekarno-Hatta Airport has been ensured to support the smooth service for prospective hajj pilgrims. According to him, Terminal 2F, which spans 27,418 square metres, has been prepared with a service capacity of up to 6.1 million passengers per year. The available facilities include a waiting lounge with capacity for up to 3,000 people, an integrated passenger service system, and a mosque of 3,136 square metres that can accommodate around 800 people. In addition, the Makkah Route service is being operated again to facilitate the pilgrims’ journey. Through this service, the Saudi Arabian immigration process is conducted before departure, thereby shortening waiting times upon arrival in Saudi Arabia. “To support this service, 10 special counters have been prepared in the sterile area of the terminal. The entire service flow is designed systematically, from the arrival of pilgrims at the airport, placement based on kloter, document checking processes, to departure to the aircraft,” he explained. He stated that this arrangement is intended to maintain order and comfort during the departure process. Therefore, Soekarno-Hatta Airport, together with all stakeholders, is committed to continuously improving service quality to support the safe, orderly, and comfortable conduct of the hajj pilgrimage. “We, along with all stakeholders, are committed to continuously improving service quality to support the safe conduct of the hajj pilgrimage,” he said.
