JAKARTA (JP): State-owned finance company PT Danareksa and its
Japanese and Taiwan partners launched their new joint venture
company yesterday.

The joint venture, Daiwa NIF Ventures, is soon to establish a
venture capital company -- Danareksa Ventura Pertama -- which is
expected to have total assets of about US$50 million.

The company said yesterday that it would invest the fund in
leading infrastructure, telecommunication, construction,
services, export companies.

The company is 25 percent owned by PT Danareksa, 20 percent by
Daiwa Securities, 20 percent by Nippon Investment and Finance
Co., Ltd, 30 percent by Mithras Limited and 5 percent by Central
Investment Holding Co. Ltd Taiwan. (aly)
