Danareksa Distributes Ramadhan Assistance Packages to Disability Community
JAKARTA — Holding state-owned enterprise Danareksa, together with several holding members, distributed 1,000 Ramadhan assistance packages to the disability community across five cities: Jakarta, Pasuruan, Demak, Makassar, and Medan. The programme was implemented simultaneously as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility activities during Ramadhan.
The programme involved numerous holding members, including PT Kawasan Industri Medan, PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (Perseroda), PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara, PT Kawasan Industri Wijayakusuma, PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang, PT Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut, PT Kawasan Industri Makassar, PT Nindya Karya, PT Perusahaan Pengelola Aset, PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia, PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara, PT Danareksa Finance, PT Danareksa Capital, and PT Balai Pustaka.
Agus Widjaja, Corporate Secretary of Danareksa Holding, stated that the initiative forms part of synergy amongst holding members in implementing Social and Environmental Responsibility programmes (TJSL). The programme aims to expand social benefits, particularly for vulnerable population groups.
“As a holding oriented towards value creation and welfare, we coordinate holding members so that social initiatives implemented have greater measurable scale and impact. The simultaneous distribution across five regions represents an effort to provide direct benefits to the community, particularly vulnerable groups,” Agus said in a press statement.
The selection of five cities also reflects the operational regions of holding members distributed across various areas. To ensure assistance reaches its intended targets, Danareksa Holding collaborated with Alunjiva Indonesia, an organisation working in disability empowerment.
Co-founder of Alunjiva Indonesia Fany Efrita expressed appreciation for the collaboration. According to her, the involvement of various entities within a single holding enables social programmes to reach more people in need.
“Collaboration such as this demonstrates that active participation from various parties can expand the reach of social programmes for the disability community,” she said.
