Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The CEO of the Badan Pengelola Investasi (BPI) Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara), Rosan Roeslani, spoke about the performance of the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG), which has fallen throughout the year. The IHSG’s performance has even been recorded as the worst among all global capital markets. Roeslani said that Danantara’s presence in the Indonesian capital market is aimed at the long term. He also noted that the performance of state-owned enterprise (BUMN) issuers remains solid with double-digit growth. ‘(The) steps BEI and OJK continue to refine our stock exchange to be better and more transparent are processes we believe will build trust for our exchange far better,’ Rosan said when visiting BEI on Tuesday (19/5/2026). More specifically, he looked at fundamentals with the prices of BUMN shares traded now, the yield offered for the medium and long term rising to above 10 to 11%. The yield indicates the amount of dividends per share relative to the share price. ‘We are confident this is the process to become better, as Prof Dasco said, that this is a positive journey ahead. If we look at daily and monthly figures, they are corrected, but our goal is not daily or monthly but long-term, so we hope the exchange will continue to grow well in terms of issuers, investors and others,’ Rosan explained. Rosan also emphasised the resilience of the Indonesian bourse, with the number of investors reaching 27 million, a figure significantly higher than in previous years. ‘So from Danantara we see this market has ups and downs, but we see that our fundamentals are sound, the yield is high, so that is what needs to be explained to investors,’ Rosan said.
