Daewoo wins order in RI
SEOUL (Reuter): South Korea's Daewoo Corp said yesterday it had secured a US$208 million contract to build a cement plant for Indonesia's PT Semen Bosowa Maros.
"The Indonesian company on Tuesday confirmed that it has made a final decision to give us the order," a company spokesman said. "The formal contract will be signed in April."
Daewoo is due to start the construction of the 1.8 million tons a year cement plant in the island of Sulawesi soon after the turn-key base contract is signed.
The plant will be completed by April, 1998, he said.
