CX adds S'pore service

JAKARTA (JP): Cathay Pacific Airways will operate a new daily flight serving Jakarta-Singapore beginning May 2, the company announced yesterday.

The airline said yesterday flight CX714 would depart from Jakarta at 7:40 a.m. and arrive in Singapore at 10:20 a.m., both local times. From Singapore, a CX711 flight will depart at 8:40 p.m. and arrive in Jakarta at 9:15 p.m.

Cathay will also provide "day-return" check-in, in which passengers will get both departing and returning boarding passes upon check in at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

The airline now operates 24 flights a week from the country to Hong Kong.

It offers daily services on the Jakarta-Hong Kong via Singapore route, and Jakarta-Hong Kong nonstop. It also flies the Surabaya-Hong Kong route three times a week, and Bali-Hong- Kong daily. (das)
