Cub and Sport Motorcycles Become Preferred Models in Honda's Commercial Fleet Segment
JAKARTA – The commercial fleet segment has become an important pillar supporting PT Astra Honda Motor’s (AHM) motorcycle sales in Indonesia. Although its market share is smaller than retail sales, its contribution remains consistent and is dominated by proven models that are robust and efficient for daily operational use.
The Marketing Director of PT Astra Honda Motor, Octavianus Dwi, revealed that the fleet segment consistently contributes to annual sales figures. With total sales reaching 4.9 million units in 2025, the commercial fleet segment is estimated to contribute between 245,000 and 294,000 units annually.
These figures demonstrate that the demand for operational vehicles—whether for companies, institutions, or government agencies—remains stable and significant. Two models have emerged as Honda’s best-selling motorcycles in the commercial fleet segment: the Honda Revo and Honda Verza.
“Models that typically operate in the cub category are the Revo or Supra, whilst for the sport category it is usually the Verza,” said Octa. The Revo is renowned for its fuel efficiency and ease of maintenance, making it a rational choice for field operations with high-intensity use.
“Currently the dominant models are the Revo and Verza. Occasionally there is the CRF150 for certain institutions such as the military, depending on their intended use,” he added. For specialised requirements in challenging terrain, trail models such as the Honda CRF150 are selected by specific institutions, including the military, which require off-road capability.
“For scooter models there is greater variety,” Octa noted. This demonstrates that for operational needs prioritising cost efficiency and long-term durability, cub and entry-level sport motorcycles remain the preferred choice.
