CT ARSA and Airnav Build Inspiration House in Trenggalek, East Java
This commitment was marked by the laying of the first stone on Monday (11/5/2026), conducted by the General Manager of CT ARSA Foundation, Haerani Akbar, together with the Junior Manager of Personnel & General Affairs at AIRNAV Surabaya, Nurul Huda, the Camat of Bendungan, Sujatmiko, and other village officials.
The purpose of building the CT ARSA Inspiration House together with AIRNAV in this village is due to its great potential for development. This area is known to be located in a scenic mountainous region with a natural landscape and considerable natural resource potential, particularly in the plantation sector.
However, this potential has not been optimally utilised due to limitations in knowledge, skills, and supporting access among the community. The majority of residents have an educational background up to primary school level and tend to choose to work from an early age to meet family economic needs.
This condition impacts the limited choices of livelihoods, which are dominated by jobs as construction labourers, illegal gold mine workers, and farmers with unstable incomes.
In addition, the economic limitations faced mean that some communities still practise a barter system to meet daily needs, reflecting strong social bonds as well as ongoing welfare challenges.
The Inspiration House is known not only as a physical building but as a living and continuously developing ecosystem for learning, health, and empowerment for the Gunung Kidul community. This place becomes a centre for interaction that facilitates togetherness, the exchange of ideas, and the strengthening of inter-community relationships.
In addition, the Inspiration House functions as an education centre serving children in early childhood education, primary school students, up to adolescents. Here, they can participate in learning activities that support academic development, creativity, and character through various non-academic activities.
The Inspiration House is also designed as a community health service space. This facility can be used for posyandu activities, health education, or integrated health services involving PKK mothers, puskesmas, and other health workers.
It is known that this building stands on waqf land of 105 square metres from the Al Huda Foundation. The Inspiration House is hoped to provide broad positive impacts for the community through the active role of community movers.
A resident named Imam and Hartini, who since 2013 have initiated the establishment of PAUD Al Huda, said that this 10th CT ARSA Inspiration House will become an initial space for shaping children’s character.
In addition to focusing on education, Imam is also actively involved in efforts to preserve local arts and culture, such as wayang and campursari performances, although regeneration efforts for artists are still hindered by limited supporting facilities and infrastructure.
In the future, the Inspiration House will be equipped with bathrooms, educational play equipment, reading books, children’s games (swings and merry-go-rounds), prayer tools, writing materials, cabinets, whiteboards, and a borehole for clean water. It is hoped that the Inspiration House can bring various programmes that have a positive impact on the entire community; through these programmes, the community is encouraged to develop and be able to move independently.
