A number of residents have started arriving ahead of the open house at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. The queue of residents wishing to attend the open house snakes in front of the State Secretariat Gate.

Observations by detikcom at the location on Saturday (21/3/2026) at 12:31 WIB showed that the queue of residents waiting for the open house at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta stretched around 70 metres. They were waiting in the tented area prepared in front of the State Secretariat Gate.

The residents waiting for the open house were diverse, including young people, adults, and small children.

Officials urged residents to be patient. Through loudspeakers, officials asked residents to remain vigilant and keep an eye on their belongings.

There was also a resident who fainted while waiting in the queue for the open house. They were carried by police officers to an ambulance that was on standby in front of the State Secretariat Gate.

Previously, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the griya event (open house) at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta was being held today from 12:00 WIB. Teddy mentioned that the open house capacity was up to 5,000 people.

“We open (the open house) after Zuhr prayer. Maybe at 12, 1 o’clock, please come. (Capacity) around 5,000 perhaps, like last year. Of course, we prepare inside, and if it doesn’t fit, outside is also prepared by the Minister Secretary of State, tents, and then they take turns entering,” said Teddy during a visit in Medan, North Sumatra, on Friday (20/3) night.

Teddy said the open house would be open from afternoon until evening. He invited the public to attend the open house held at the Palace with their families.

“Of course, it’s open from 12 maybe until Maghrib, taking turns for the public who might come with their families to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, whether bringing one family or stopping by the Palace, you are welcome,” he continued.
