Cross-Sector Collaboration Strengthens Social Care Values
Cross-sector collaboration is viewed as an important step in creating broader and sustainable impact whilst strengthening values of social care amongst people.
This has been realised by fashion retail company PT Kurnia Ciptamoda Gemilang (KCG), which is participating in recovery efforts for communities affected by floods in Peusangan, Gayo, Aceh, through collaboration with WWF Indonesia and Act of Love Foundation.
Director of Business and Operations at PT Kurnia Ciptamoda Gemilang, Haryanto Pratantara, said the programme series, named “Act for Sumatera #Peusanganbangkit”, is designed to support the recovery of nature and local communities following the disaster.
“Our involvement in this activity aligns with one of our company values, sharegoodness, which is realised through concrete actions of sharing care with communities in need, especially in emergency situations and post-disaster recovery,” said Haryanto on Tuesday (3 March).
He explained that as part of the programme, the company is channelling donations of clothing for children, teenagers, mothers, and volunteers in the Peusangan, Gayo, Aceh area.
“We hope this assistance can provide comfort and support daily activities for the community during the recovery period,” he added.
The programme is also supported by public figure Cinta Laura Kiehl, who was present and directly involved in reconstructing educational facilities and providing trauma healing for children in affected areas.
“We are committed to delivering genuine and impactful care during post-disaster recovery. We hope this initiative can bring new spirit and hope to the community to rise again with greater strength,” said Haryanto.
Going forward, the company remains committed to consistently implementing the sharegoodness value initiative and engaging in more humanitarian and social activities that provide real benefits to communities and the environment.
