Court hears Indorayon case

MEDAN, North Sumatra: The district court opened yesterday the
trial of MLI, who stands accused of destroying property after he
was not accepted as an employee of PT Inti Indorayon Utama.

MLI allegedly vandalized Indorayon's property last July. The
prosecutor said the accused threw stones, breaking windows at the
pulp and paper company's office.

Antara reported that MLI also allegedly attacked an on-duty
security officer who is still undergoing hospital treatment.

Indorayon is one of the country's biggest pulp and paper
companies. (mds)
