Corrections from Korean Embassy
Thank you for publishing a one-page advertisement (page 17) and several interesting articles in relation to the APEC Summit 2005 in Busan, the Republic of Korea, in The Jakarta Post's Nov. 17 edition.
However, to my surprise, I have found two mistakes: The first, which is most critical, is in the article entitled Susilo to visit Pakistan, India after APEC summit on page 3.
It is mentioned in the article that President Susilo will hold bilateral talks with South Korean Prime Minister Roh Moo-hyun ... on Friday. Roh Moo-hyun is the president of the Republic of Korea. The prime minister is Lee Hae-chan.
The second mistake is the misspelling of the name of the president of the Republic of Korea, Roh Moo-hyun. In the article entitled China, S. Korea express hope on N. Korea on page 11, an article taken from AFP, the name of the president of the Republic of Korea is written as Roh Mo-hyun -- a single o in Moo.
I regret indeed that those two mistakes have appeared within articles published in the biggest, most prestigious English newspaper in Indonesia. It is indeed important for Post reporters to be more careful and check the articles before they are published.

Note: We apologize for the mistakes.
