Coretax SPT 'Jockey' Services Starting at Rp 20,000 Proliferate on Threads, DJP Responds
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The widespread use of the digital tax reporting system Coretax has given rise to a new phenomenon on social media. Several accounts on the Threads platform are openly offering services to fill out Annual Tax Returns (SPT), even at relatively low rates. Based on Kompas.com’s investigation, these services are offered by various accounts, such as @nuriyul, @tercacay, and @ecydps. They provide services ranging from filling out SPT for individuals and entities, activating Coretax accounts, to preparing financial reports. “Guys, I’m open for SPT filing services and Coretax activation for individuals… just DM me,” one account posted, as quoted on Sunday (5/4/2026). Meanwhile, the @tercacay account targets users who struggle with the Coretax system. It claims affordable rates and invites direct messaging. “Those confused about filing personal and entity SPT using Coretax can use my services, prices are affordable,” it wrote. Not only that, the @ecydps account even shares customer testimonials as a form of promotion. In its post, conversations with clients are visible, expressing satisfaction with the fast and responsive service in assisting tax reporting. In response to this phenomenon, the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) reminds the public not to use unofficial third-party services for SPT reporting or Coretax account activation. Director of Education, Services, and Public Relations at DJP, Inge Diana Rismawanti, stated that the obligation to report SPT is the personal responsibility of taxpayers in the self-assessment system. “We consistently remind the public not to use ‘jockey’ services or unofficial third parties for SPT reporting or Coretax account activation,” Inge told Kompas.com on Sunday (5/4/2026). She emphasised that SPT filling should be done independently or with assistance from official parties, such as tax educators or registered tax consultants. Inge also warned of several risks in using unofficial services, including the potential for personal data misuse, as taxpayers must provide sensitive information such as NIK, NPWP, and passwords.
