JAKARTA (JP): Polypropylene producer PT Tri Polyta Indonesia
announced yesterday that it has started production of copolymer
polypropylene resin at its West Java plant.

Copolymers are a special grade of plastic.

Tri Polyta's new products, manufactured by its third
production train facility, include a range of random copolymers
and impact copolymers. Both types are expected to be in
commercial production in the near future.

Random copolymers will enable the production of packaging,
bottles and containers, household ware and plastic sheets.

Impact, or "block" copolymers, will be used in products such
as battery casings, furniture, automotive components and
appliance casings. (pwn)
