The Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment (Kemenko PM) is once again organising the Festival Jejak Jajanan Nusantara (Nusantara Culinary Trail Festival) this year. This agenda represents a concrete government step towards strengthening grassroots economy through UMKM empowerment and preservation of local culinary heritage.

Entering its second year of implementation, the festival is being held on a larger scale due to strong public enthusiasm. The event is scheduled for 6-8 March 2026 at the West South Car Park in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, Senayan.

The organisers have positioned the festival as a space to appreciate UMKM operators selling traditional snacks from various regions. Beyond the culinary sector, dozens of stalls will showcase local textile and fashion products of quality.

“Kemenko PM is providing free space (without rental fees) for selected SMEs as a concrete form of support so that small business operators can develop, expand their market networks, and increase product exposure in strategic public spaces such as the GBK area,” the written statement said on Friday (27 February).

UMKM operators interested in participating can register online or contact liaison officer Sinta at 0856 9177 8890. Registration remains open until 28 February 2026 with strict selection and curation processes.

In addition to the business sector, the festival also opens collaboration spaces for various creative communities, sports, arts, and lifestyle groups. Communities wishing to participate can register or contact Niki at 087777744730, with limited quotas.

For information, the Festival Jejak Jajanan Nusantara 2026 is projected to become a culinary hub equipped with various entertainment attractions for visitors. The organisers are also preparing several surprises to provide new experiences for the public at the Senayan location.

The primary target audience is millennials and Generation Z, particularly those who regularly engage in activities at the GBK area. The general public can access the event venue without any entrance fee.

The festival’s presence is expected to trigger sustained pride in domestically-produced goods. Through direct field interaction, the relationship between local producers and consumers is expected to become more solid.

“Let us together support local SMEs, preserve Nusantara flavours, and strengthen grassroots economy through simple steps: attend, purchase, and be proud of products made by Indonesia’s own people!” the official statement concluded.
