Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security: Free Homecoming Proves the State's Presence in Addressing Public Difficulties
Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security of the Republic of Indonesia (Menko Polkam), Djamari Chaniago, joined in sending off participants of the ‘Free Homecoming Polri Precision 2026’. Djamari stated that the free homecoming programme represents the state’s presence in addressing the difficulties faced by the public.
“This all shows that the state is present to address the difficulties of our society. Some have their burdens completely eliminated, others have them slightly reduced,” said Djamari Chaniago at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, on Wednesday (18/3/2026).
Djamari mentioned that there were also departures of more than 1,500 homecomers with 600 motorcycles using ships. He said that accommodations for the return of these homecomers to Jakarta have also been prepared.
“Yesterday, the Navy departed approximately more than one thousand five hundred along with six hundred motorcycles inside the ship heading east to Semarang and Surabaya,” he stated.
“And upon returning from Surabaya, the relevant ships are prepared; the ship will also return to Semarang and back to Jakarta,” he added.
He stated that the state will always be present to lighten the burden on the public. He said the state is committed to providing comfort and security for the public.
