Jakarta - Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar has urged all segments of society to build a culture of “Ayo Cerita” (Let’s Share Stories) as a safe space for children and adolescents to share their feelings, experiences, and challenges without fear.

“Let’s share stories. We all support this, and hopefully it becomes a movement that can involve all parties in realising a healthy Indonesia, a prosperous Indonesia,” said Muhaimin Iskandar at an event titled “Strengthening Psychosocial Resilience as the Foundation of Community Empowerment” in Jakarta on Friday.

According to him, every person can play a role starting from listening with empathy, observing without prejudice, and acting with compassion.

Muhaimin Iskandar also encouraged the strengthening of communal solidarity and the spirit of volunteerism as a collective movement.

He stated that such issues cannot be resolved reactively and partially, but instead require collaborative and sustainable strategies.

“Today, as citizens of the nation, we are required to work together to ensure that no one bears the burden alone, but we have siblings, we have family, and we are one unified whole,” said Muhaimin Iskandar.

He emphasised that children’s and adolescents’ mental vulnerability is multidimensional in nature, and therefore its resolution must involve the entire ecosystem, including families, schools, communities, professional personnel, and the government.
