Jakarta - The Constitutional Court (MK) has scheduled the pronouncement of decisions on 22 petitions for material examination or judicial review of laws submitted by various petitioners for today, Tuesday. Observations from ANTARA on the MK’s official website indicate that the pronouncement of decisions or determinations is scheduled to begin at 14:00 WIB and continue until completion. The 22 cases to be decided today consist of three cases on the judicial review of the new Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), two cases on the Civil Service Law (ASN), two cases on the Election Law, two cases on the Job Creation Law, one case on the Criminal Code (KUHP), one case on the 2026 State Budget Law (APBN), and one case on the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE). Several cases drawing attention include the judicial reviews of the KUHP and the new KUHAP, which have seen numerous petitions to the MK. For today’s decisions, case number 96/PUU-XXIV/2026 involves the judicial review of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the KUHP, petitioned by Ngarijan Salim. The petitioner challenges the phrases “benefiting oneself or others or a corporation” and “enriching oneself or others or a corporation” as well as “harming state finances or the national economy,” arguing that they will still encourage law enforcement to treat Articles 603 and 604 as catch-all provisions. Case number 127/PUU-XXIV/2026 concerns the judicial review of Law Number 17 of 2025 on the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) for Fiscal Year 2026, submitted by petitioner Edy Rudyanto, questioning special allocation funds (DAK). Meanwhile, the MK will continue its session on Tuesday (12/5) morning starting at 10:30 WIB with the agenda of improving petitions for case number 143/PUU-XXIV/2026 on the judicial review of Law Number 24 of 2000 on International Treaties, petitioned by Tresno Subagyo.
