Concerned about Leaving Your Motorcycle and Car at Home During Mudik? Deposit Them at Bandung Police Headquarters
Bandung Police Headquarters (Polrestabes Bandung), together with its precinct offices, has opened vehicle deposit posts during the 2026 Lebaran exodus period and return journey. The force will also conduct patrols of residents’ homes that are left vacant during the mudik period.
Bandung Police Headquarters Commander Kombes Pol Adiwijaya stated that Polrestabes Bandung will provide services to the community, including patrols to homes left unoccupied during mudik. Additionally, residents who are travelling can first report to their neighbourhood chief (RT) and sub-village chief (RW) as well as the village security officer (Bhabinkamtibmas).
“Empty homes will certainly be patrolled to provide comfort and security for those who are travelling,” he said at Police Headquarters in Bandung on Wednesday (12/3/2026).
He continued that residents who wish to travel during mudik can deposit their vehicles at Bandung Police Headquarters or at precinct offices. By depositing their vehicles, Adiwijaya stated that the community will feel more comfortable and secure whilst travelling.
“Residents can deposit their vehicles at Bandung Police Headquarters or at police precincts,” he said.
He added that the vehicle deposit post will commence on Thursday (12/3/2026) during the launch of the operation’s troop assembly. The force will also prepare service posts at several points across Bandung City, including at terminals, stations, and other locations to provide security to those undertaking the mudik journey.
“I believe security posts have already been prepared,” he said. He stated that the community can utilise the vehicle deposit service.
