PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) Chief Executive Officer Hery Gunardi stated that the company continues to pursue integrated transformation through BRIVolution Reignite. This initiative represents a response to increasingly competitive industry dynamics and rapid market changes to ensure healthy, competitive, and sustainable growth.

Launched in April 2025, the transformation rests on two main pillars: Transform the Funding Franchise and Revamp Existing Core and Build New Core, supported by the development of six key enablers.

Transform the Funding Franchise aims to strengthen BRI’s funding structure to become more efficient, stable, and reliant on low-cost funds. This strategy is executed through two primary approaches: strengthening low-cost deposits (CASA) and enhancing capabilities in transaction banking. To accelerate CASA growth, BRI is optimising digital channels such as BRImo, BRILink, and QRIS, whilst increasing market penetration in business clusters. Customer acquisition and retention are being reinforced through cross-unit collaboration and cross-selling of products, supported by enhanced Relationship Manager capabilities. This approach aims to improve cost of funds whilst maintaining long-term liquidity stability.

In the retail segment, strengthening efforts focus on developing the BRImo SuperApp and payment ecosystem. Through the second transformation pillar, Revamp Existing Core and Build New Core, BRI ensures core businesses remain robust whilst creating new sources of growth. Micro-business processes are being strengthened by maintaining asset quality and improving productivity.

To create new growth sources, BRI is accelerating consumer business expansion through strengthening mortgage offerings, auto loans, optimising payroll services, and enhancing wealth management services. The company is also strengthening its gold pawning ecosystem through outlet integration and digital channels.

The company reported a profit of Rp57.132 trillion, supported by strong funding structures, sustained credit growth, and continuous improvement in asset quality. BRI has positively welcomed the extension of budget surplus fund placement (SAL) amounting to Rp200 trillion across member banks of the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara). The bank remains consistently committed to financing micro, small, and medium enterprises, demonstrating positive performance through solid credit growth.

BRI is also strengthening work culture through the New Working Culture programme and the establishment of a Business Transformation Committee to ensure all organisational processes operate adaptively. Leadership plays a critical role in ensuring managers across the organisation possess strong data-driven thinking capabilities and robust digital literacy.
