Company deceived in housing project

JAKARTA (JP): PT Bartra Putra Invesco (BPI) has strongly
denied allegations that it was involved in the construction of
the Bukit Cempaka Indah housing complex in Tangerang.

The company's director, Emir Baramuli told reporters on
Wednesday that his company's name had been used by Irwan Siregar,
Soritua Siregar, and Asiliyas to deceive people by selling houses
at the complex.

"Without our approval, Irwan and company used the name of PT
BPI for land appropriation," Emir said, adding that Irwan issued
fictitious letters, brochures, and receipts under the name of PT
Bartra Putra Invesco.

He revealed that his company had been swindled out of Rp 15
million (US$7,000) by Irwan.(29)
