Collection of radio tax

JAKARTA (JP): City administration will conduct a door-to-door
operation to register radios and collect radio tax in 262
subdistricts of Jakarta from March 13 to 31.

Head of City Revenue Office A. Wahab said that each radio
owner is required to pay Rp 3,000.

The collection of the radio tax is intended mainly to help
increase the city's regional revenues. (yns)
