Coca-Cola's business tour
JAKARTA (JP): Sixty international fund managers, stockbrokers
and business analysts began a four-day tour yesterday to the
sites of the Indonesian operations of the Australia-based Coca-
Cola Amatil.
Coca-Cola Amatil announced that the tour, which will move to
Surabaya and end in Denpasar, Bali, on June 28, will include a
detailed review of all aspects of the company's Indonesian
operations -- production, distribution, consumer relations and
customer marketing.
Members of the touring group, drawn from Australia, the United
States, Europe and South East Asia, will have the opportunity to
hear addresses from key government ministers, including Minister
for Investment Sanyoto Sastrowardoyo and Minister of Industry and
Trade Tunky Ariwibowo.
Coca-Cola was first marketed in Indonesia in 1927 and Coca-
Cola Amatil, one of the world's largest Coca-Cola bottling
companies with operations in 16 countries, entered the Indonesian
market in 1992.
The company now has 10 production plants and 7,000 employees
in Indonesia.(hen)
