Coal venture under study

MANILA (Reuter): State-owned Philippine National Power Corp
(Napocor) is considering forming a joint venture company with
Indonesia's state-owned coal mining PT Tambang Batubara Bukit
Asam.

Napocor president Guido Delgado said formation of the joint
venture company was one of the options being studied by Napocor
before concluding a long-term coal supply agreement with the
Indonesian firm.

The joint venture may be incorporated in Manila or in Jakarta,
he said.
