Cleaning staff given bonus

JAKARTA (JP): South Jakarta Mayor Pardjoko, on behalf of the mayoralty staff, has handed over Rp 50,000 in capital money for 57 cleaning service employees working at the office.

The symbolic hand over took place on Tuesday at the mayoralty, Antara reported yesterday.

Pardjoko told the cleaning service employees to set aside some of their income and keep it at the Bank DKI (the city administration-owned bank) for their future.

PT Mitra Abadi Karya and CV Simaruansa are in charge of cleaning services for the mayoralty.

Pardjoko said that the cleaning service employees played an important role in keeping the mayoralty, district and subdistrict offices clean.

He said South Jakarta collected 27 trophies for cleanliness, and the mayoralty got the Adipura Award last year for cleanliness. (sur)
