Around 30 police personnel joined mosque administrators, community leaders, and local residents in a collaborative clean-up effort centred at the Nursalimah Mosque on Jenderal Sudirman Street, Cambai Ward, Prabumulih City, on Friday (1/5). The cleaning focused on both interior and exterior areas of the building to create a clean, healthy, and comfortable worship space for congregants. Representing Prabumulih Police Chief AKBP Bobby Kusuma Wardhana, Deputy Chief Kompol Chindi Helyadi directly led the gotong royong activity. This programme is a concrete implementation of directives from South Sumatra Police Chief Irjen Sandi Nugroho, who continuously instructs all ranks to provide direct benefits to communities in the Land of Sriwijaya. “This activity is not merely a work service, but a tangible manifestation of integrating environmental care and maintenance of security and public order. In line with the vision of the Police Chief, the Indonesian National Police must ensure that the community feels safe and comfortable in their activities, especially when performing worship,” said Kompol Chindi on Monday (4/5/2026). The police, together with local government and residents, synergise as driving elements of social progress. This close collaboration is believed to improve quality of life and strengthen social resilience in the South Sumatra region. Head of Public Relations for South Sumatra Police Kombes Nandang Mu’min Wijaya added that all elements of the force are fully committed to professionally escorting government priority programmes. “Comfort and environmental cleanliness are the primary foundations in nurturing social stability for the community. The South Sumatra Police ranks will continue to move consistently to present solution-oriented programmes with real impacts for the public,” said Kombes Nandang. The clean-up action, which concluded at 10.30 WIB, took place in a warm and conducive atmosphere. South Sumatra Police ensures that this environmental maintenance continues sustainably across its jurisdictions, as a commitment to precise and humane policing.
