City website hacked, again

JAKARTA: The city website Beritajakarta.com was defaced on
Wednesday, the third time this year, according to an official.

The hackers changed words in its news articles, such as kuda
(horse) for busway, monyet (monkey) for mobil (car), and Pemprov
antah brantah (the administration of nowhere) for the Jakarta
administration.

Website executive Haidil said Wednesday's disturbance was the
third after the first in January and the second in June.

City spokesman Catur Laswanto said the administration would
improve the website security to prevent similar incidents in the
future.

"Such an incident had misled our readers, therefore we will
improve the security of the website," he said, adding that the
administration would not report the case to the police because
the incident was minor. -- JP
