City to seal supermarket

BEKASI: Head of Bekasi city spatial agency, Kamaludin Djaini,
said on Saturday that his office may seal the Makro and Carry
supermarket building on Jl. Hasibuan, Margajaya district, because
it was built without a building permit from the administration.

"We'll give a deadline of Aug. 17 for the developer and the
owner to complete all the requirements before resuming
construction of the building," he was quoted as saying by Antara.

He added that his office had sent three notices to the
developer since July.

Bekasi mayor Akhmad Zurfaih admitted that he had issued a
recommendation to the developer to construct the business
premises.

"But I told them to meet all the requirements ... I didn't
know that they had not asked for environmental and traffic impact
analyses from the environmental agency," he said.

The analysis results are necessary to secure the building
