City gets 75 more buses

JAKARTA (JP): The privately owned bus company PT Tunggal Dara
Indonesia has started operating city buses, serving five routes
throughout the Greater Jakarta area.

The operation of the first bus was launched in a ceremony on
Thursday evening in Cibitung, Bekasi, Antara reported.

The five new routes are between Tanjung Priok and Depok,
Cikarang and Lebak Bulus, Cibarusa and Kampung Rambutan, Jonggol
and Kampung Rambutan, and Bogor and Kampung Rambutan.

President of the company, Sumaryoto said the five routes will
be served by 75 buses. The buses will be procured in stages with
completion by mid 1995, and have a combined investments of Rp
10.5 billion (US$4.77 million).(25)
