The Cimahi City Government is still awaiting official regulations from the central government regarding flexible working policies, either Work From Home (WFH) or Work From Anywhere (WFA), for civil servants (ASN). The lack of a legal framework means that WFH cannot yet be implemented in the local government environment. For the time being, the ASN working system in the Cimahi City Government continues to operate normally with full five-day workweeks. “For this region, there is no regulation yet. So it’s still full; every day ASN report to the office for five working days,” said the Assistant for General Administration of the Cimahi City Government, Mochamad Ronny, on Wednesday (25/3). On the first day back to work after the Eid holiday, Ronny revealed that the ASN attendance rate at the Cimahi City Government reached 97.30 percent. This figure indicates relatively high employee compliance. “Attendance is around 97.30 percent. Those who were absent were on leave and sick. Two ASN were absent without explanation,” he explained. According to Ronny, the two ASN who were absent without a clear reason constitute a disciplinary violation that cannot be tolerated. If the investigation results show a violation, the individuals will be subject to sanctions in accordance with applicable provisions. “If without explanation, and after checking it turns out to be without explanation, the consequence is a staff discipline issue,” he clarified. Regarding readiness to implement the WFH policy in the Cimahi City Government, they will wait for official rules from the central government. This WFH policy is planned to be implemented for one day per week after Eid 2026, with the aim of saving fuel oil (BBM) consumption.
