Cilacap Regent Arrested by KPK with Car Collection Worth Billions of Rupiah
Jakarta — The naming of Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman as a suspect by Indonesia’s Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) in a graft operation has drawn renewed scrutiny to his assets, including a car collection documented in official state reports.
According to data from the 2025 Report on State Officials’ Assets (LHKPN), Syamsul is registered as owning two vehicles with a combined value of approximately 1.4 billion rupiah.
The two vehicles consist of one Toyota minibus produced in 2021 and one SUV from 2024 of the same brand. At this price point, the vehicles are believed to be from premium MPV segments such as the Toyota Alphard or Toyota Vellfire, which indeed command price tags approaching 1 billion rupiah depending on variant and condition.
Meanwhile, the one 2024-produced SUV is reported to have a value of approximately 500 million rupiah. At this price range, the vehicle is estimated to be from the ladder-frame SUV segment such as the Toyota Fortuner, which is quite popular among regional officials as it offers a combination of performance, comfort, and premium vehicle prestige.
The value of these vehicles forms part of Syamsul’s total wealth of more than 12 billion rupiah as recorded in the LHKPN. The majority of reported assets derive from ownership of land and buildings located in Cilacap Regency, Central Java.
Previously, the KPK conducted a graft operation against Syamsul on Friday (13 March 2026). The KPK subsequently named Syamsul as a suspect in alleged corruption offences relating to project management within Cilacap Regency Government on Saturday (14 March 2026).
