Cilacap Regency Government Targets Investment Worth Rp2.2 Trillion This Year
Cilacap Regency Government targets investment realisation of Rp2.22 trillion in 2026, with the main focus on the industrial sector. The target follows investment reaching Rp1.659 trillion in 2025. ‘Hopefully this can be achieved this year, and we are also working to attract many investors to enter Cilacap Regency,’ said Arida Puji Hastuti, head of the Cilacap Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Agency (DPMPTSP Cilacap), when met on Friday (6 March 2026).
Arida added that the regent himself is also taking part in efforts to absorb investors into Cilacap. ‘So it’s not solely up to DPMPTSP,’ she said.
‘The regent himself also promised to provide rewards to civil servants who can attract investors to Cilacap,’ Arida continued.
According to Arida, investment not only benefits regional economic growth but also significantly contributes to job absorption in Cilacap.
‘If investment is high, economic growth will rise because there will be many jobs for the people of Cilacap, and this will automatically affect improved welfare,’ she said.
As for DPMPTSP Cilacap’s efforts to attract investor interest, one of them is to participate in business forums at the national, provincial levels, and those organised by the Ministry. ‘We convey at business forums the potential that exists in Cilacap,’ Arida said.
This potential includes a port, railway and an airport, which are high-value. ‘The toll road is the flagship, and we hope that once the Pejagan toll road, and the Getaci toll road are under construction this year, investors will be attracted here,’ she said.
‘In addition, there are investments outside the official business forums, many of them coming through several parties such as city malls, and the permits (PBG) have already been issued,’ she added.
Separately, there are several processing industries offered, including integrated fish processing, integrated coconut processing, and integrated shrimp processing.
Arida admitted that there are several investors interested, and at present they are following up to determine how serious the business players are.
‘Recently there were two interested parties from coconut processing from Jembrana, Bali, and from Cilegon, who have been to Cilacap for discussions; we have shown them the locations,’ she said.
‘And they want a future cooperation with a state-owned enterprise (BUMD), if here the CSA can accommodate the processing results,’ she concluded.
