Cianjur Immigration Office Strengthens Coordination on Monitoring of Foreign Nationals
Cianjur – The Class III Immigration Office (Non-TPI) of Cianjur District, West Java, is strengthening coordination with accommodation business operators to support orderly and integrated monitoring of foreign nationals by optimising use of the Foreign National Reporting Application (APOA).
Riky Afrimon, Head of Cianjur Immigration Office, said on Saturday that to maximise the office’s surveillance efforts, it conducted a 2026 Immigration Awareness Programme with participants comprising hotel managers, lodging operators, and corporate accommodation facilities throughout the Cianjur area.
Optimising use of APOA is not merely an administrative obligation, he stated, but rather represents a form of shared responsibility in maintaining regional security and order. He emphasised that strong coordination will yield more effective and professional surveillance.
“Through this activity, it is hoped that a collective commitment and compliance will be built towards optimising foreign national reporting via APOA, thereby creating increasingly optimal immigration oversight in Cianjur,” he said.
The awareness session was initiated with an activity report delivered by Alwin Taher, Head of IT-Intelligence Sub-Section at Cianjur Immigration Office. The presentation stressed the importance of APOA optimisation as a system for fast, accurate, and timely reporting, thereby supporting immigration supervision of foreign nationals in the Cianjur area. When violations are discovered, field officers can immediately follow up, including imposing strict sanctions such as deportation.
The presenter opened a discussion session following the presentation, with a Senior First-Rank Immigration Analyst acting as moderator. Technical explanations and interactive discussion forums were also provided to all participants.
The activity was attended by officials from the Cipanas and Pacet District Government Coordination Forums (Forkopimcam), representatives of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) Cianjur branch, and supervisors from hotels, lodging facilities, and corporate accommodation providers who directly handle the process of reporting foreign guest arrivals.
Yoyon Sudirno, Secretary of PHRI Cianjur, expressed full support for implementation of foreign national reporting through the official government application. He noted that hotel managers regularly receive guests ranging from domestic to international visitors.
“We are ready to assist the government, particularly the immigration office, in monitoring and reporting foreign nationals staying at hotels that are PHRI members, including in using the Foreign National Reporting Application,” he said.
